Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan’s friendship is the cutest
‘Foe’ co-stars Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal have developed a strong friendship since filming ‘Foe’ together in Australia last year.
The Irish actors filmed in Australia from January to April of 2022 and have stayed in touch since filming wrapped.
Mescal and Ronan were unable to promote the movie due to the actors’ strike, but the SAG-AFTRA strike ended this week.
This meant the ‘Normal People’ star could finally share behind-the-scenes photos and footage of ‘Foe’.

Mescal shared behind-the-scenes snaps of the ‘Brooklyn’ star including a selfie of the pair on set.
He also posted a photo of Saoirse Ronan on the beach and simply captioned it ‘Sersh’.
The pair were unable to promote the film, but Saoirse Ronan previously discussed her special friendship with the Irish actor.
She told Document Journal, “We did a film together at the beginning of last year in Australia, called Foe.”
She added, “We knew each other sort of in passing before, just through friends. We’ve become very, very close since making the film.”
Ronan stressed that her friendship with Mescal is really special, and not for the cameras.
“We’re genuine friends; we’re not Hollywood friends,’ the ‘Little Women’ actress stressed.
‘Foe’ is based on the best-selling novel of the same name. Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal star as a married couple whose world is turned upside down when a stranger arrives at their farm and tells the husband he will be sent to a large space station, and his wife will be left in the company of a robot.
