The plot for Bad Apples centres around Ronan’s character, Maria, who works as a primary school teacher and hopes to inspire her young students but faces challenges due to one ‘unruly and chaotic student’, which threatens to hurt the teacher’s career.
With the student in question’s behaviour becoming more disruptive, she accidentally takes and then locks the child in her home.
While she tries to correct her wrongdoing, ‘the class starts flourishing, and the staff and parents are thrilled with the improvement’.
It is believed that filming for Bad Apples is set to get underway next spring.
This comes following the release of the Brooklyn actress’s role in ‘Foe’, with whom she stars alongside Paul Mescal.
If you’re looking to get a vibe for director Etzler’s works, One More Time is available to stream on Netflix.
