Ouch: Katy Perry Turns Down John Mayer’s Proposal

They have only just gotten their rocky relationship back on track so it comes as no surprise that Katy Perry has rejected John Mayer’s marriage proposal (that’s not to mention his wandering ways).

The Roar singer apparently turned down her other half when he got down on one knee because she felt it was too soon.

 

John is said to have popped the question but Katy is not ready.

An insider told Grazia: “John’s proposal really unnerved Katy. Even though they have discussed it, she thought it was too soon. John was gutted.”

They added: “Katy loves John, but doesn’t feel she has had enough healing time since her divorce. She told him she just needed a bit more time to feel whole in herself again.”

The pop star married Russell Brand back in 2010 but they split over a year later. 

Katy split from her first husband, comedian Russell Brand, after just 14 months of marriage but it appears her reaction hasn’t put John off completely.

The source explained: “He knows his bad boy reputation and what happened with Russell hurt Katy, and he’ll do whatever it takes to show he’s the one she should marry.”
