One Direction star Zayn Malik decided to make his Instagram account public this week which sent 1D fans into a frenzy and sparked marriage rumours.
In one of his most recent pictures the singer, who is in a relationship with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, can be seen wearing a plain band on his wedding ring finger.
But while many believed that it was a sign that the couple had tied the knot, a spokesperson for the 21-year-old heartthrob has since told the Daily Mail that they “are not married”.
According to Zayn’s representative, the ring (which you can see below) is not a wedding ring but rather an engagement ring.
