Nelly and Ashanti are reportedly expecting their first baby together

According to US Weekly, the pair rekindled their relationship earlier this year with a source leaking their exciting baby news.

“Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,” a source exclusively told the outlet.

If the rumours are true, the baby will be Ashanti’s first child, while Nelly, 49, shares a daughter named Chanelle (29) and a son, Cornell Haynes III (24) with his ex, Channetta Valentine.

Rumours started swirling at the weekend when Ashanti, 43, attended Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis.

During the event, the singer put her hand on her stomach while on stage with Nelly and he did the same. 

In the fan video, shared by TMZ, the couple broke into laughter after allegedly hinting that they are expecting. 

The pair dated on and off from 2003 to 2013 after meeting at a Grammy Awards press conference.

In April, the couple sparked rumours of a reconciliation when they were seen holding hands at a boxing match in Las Vegas.

Nelly then confirmed the relationship in September of this year on 'Boss Moves with Rasheeda,' when he said, “Yeah, we cool again.”

He went on to say that their new romance “surprised both of us though,” and he said: “It wasn’t anything that I don’t think was planned.”
