Matt LeBlanc has penned a moving tribute to his friend and co-star Matthew Perry

‘Friends’ actor Matt LeBlanc has paid tribute to the late actor Matthew Perry.

Alongside multiple photos of their characters Chandler and Joey, LeBlanc reflected on their friendship.

He shared: “Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye.

“The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life,” he shared.

The actor said it was an honour to call Matthew Perry both his friend and co-star.

“It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never,” he continued.

“Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me,” he joked.

Matt LeBlanc is one of the first ‘Friends’ stars to speak out following the untimely loss of Matthew Perry.

The five lead stars issued a joint statement shortly after news of Perry’s death broke in October.

They stated: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

They added: “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Matthew Perry was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on October 28th. He was only 54.
