Lea Michele has released a statement following the news that her boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death was caused by a mix of heroin and alocohol.
A representative for the actress told E! News that she appreciates the support she has received over the last few days and is now helping the family to prepare funeral arrangements.
“Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans,” they explained.
“Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to as the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”
Last night it emerged that Cory, who recently completed a stint in rehab, died from “mixed toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”

The Glee co-stars had been together for over a year.
