Kourtney Kardashian returns home from hospital with her baby boy

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker welcomed a son earlier this month

Her son, who is her fourth child, was born last week, but they had to spend some time in hospital after Kourtney's pregnancy took a 'stressful' turn.

The couple have not yet spoken publically about their baby boy but were photographed leaving the hospital this week.

On Tuesday, the new parents were spotted leaving Cedars Sinai Hospital.

Kourtney struggled throughout her pregnancy but is beyond grateful her son is now here. She had to undergo emergency fetal surgery towards the end of her pregnancy.

She told her followers that the surgery saved her baby boy's life.

Kourtney said, "I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."

She also said the urgent fetal surgery was a terrifying experience, especially because she's never had issues during her last three pregnancies.

However, doctors acted quickly and managed to save her baby boy.

"Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing," she said.

A source close to the reality star said she is beyond thankful to be able to hold her newborn.

“Kourtney is over the moon about her son’s arrival,” the insider told People.

“Her pregnancy took a stressful turn towards the end,” they added.

“She is happy to just be able to snuggle her baby boy now."

The source said Kourtney feels "so blessed" following her son's birth.

Kourtney and Travis decided to call their son Rocky Thirteen.
