Jodie Marsh took to Twitter this morning to speak out about domestic violence and urged those in abusive relationships to “get out now”.
The model-turned-bodybuilder not only told her followers about her own experience with abusive partners but revealed that her best friend was murdered by her boyfriend.
She explained: “Sorry, I know it’s a bit of a heavy topic but I saw something that wound me up & felt the need to speak up. Women should help women x x”.
Jodie added: “For what it’s worth, in my humble opinion; women-beaters never change so get out now while you can before it’s too late. You’re worth more x”.
The glamour model added that she would tell her story in full to a magazine in return for a donation to Refuge, a charity dedicated to providing specialist services for women and children escaping domestic violence.

Abusive partners always cry after they’ve beaten you & blame it on “something that happened to them in life” & play the victim….

..I know because I’ve had 2 abusive partners. One said his mother didn’t love him, the other said he was raped (he wasn’t) #domesticviolence

And FYI, domestic violence can happen to even the strongest of people. Did you know that 1 in 4 women have experienced it first hand? X

Every time he hit me, he cried & I felt sorry for him but also scared of him. I was young. I’d NEVER allow a man to lay a finger on me now x

I know it happens to men too but I am a woman & I believe that speaking out is the only way to help other women instead of it being taboo x
