Joan Rivers has taken to Twitter to tell the world exactly what she thinks of Jennifer Lawrence’s recent comments about Fashion Police. The comedienne certainly didn’t mince her words when she responded to what the Hunger Games star said about her show and its perception of body image. Joan's outburst follows the comments Jennifer Lawrence made about her fashion show. She tweeted “It’s funny how Jennifer Lawrence loved @E_FashionPolice during Awards Season when we were complimenting her every single week... But now that she has a movie to promote, suddenly we’re picking on all those poor, helpless actors.” The 80-year-old added: “WAIT! It just dawned on me why Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way up to the stage to get her Oscar. She tripped over her own arrogance.” The comedienne even referenced the moment when the actress tripped at the Oscars. Her outburst comes only a matter of days after the Oscar winner criticised the E! programme for promoting an unrealistic body ideal and calling people “ugly and fat.” She told Yahoo! during a recent question and answer session: “The world has this idea that if you don’t look like an airbrushed perfect model... You have to look past it. You look how you look, be comfortable... What are you going to do? Be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That’s just dumb.”
