If only all men were like Jamie Dornan
Jamie Dornan and his wife, Amelia Warner have been married for over ten years and their love story is one fit for a movie.
The actor recently opened up about their relationship and couldn’t help but get emotional when talking about his partner.
During an interview on Desert Island Discs, the actor shared the song that always reminds him of his wife.
He told BBC’s Lauren Laverne that is it ‘Forever’ by the Beach Boys.
He said the song is one “he would rush to save from the waves”.
The actor welled up as he shared the meaning behind his special track.
“The one thing I would really need to get me through is the thought of my wife and everything that she has given me and our family,” he said.
Hearing Dornan well up about his wife comes as no surprise as their pair’s love story is beyond romantic.
How did Jamie Dornan meet his wife, Amelia Warner?
Dornan met Amelia Warner in 2010, but he had his eye on the singer for quite some time.
The Irish actor was out doing karaoke with friends when he heard Amelia was at a house party. He wanted to see her so badly that he ditched his friends and “ran for the hills”.
He told James Corden on ‘The Late Late Show’: “She’d been an actor so I knew who she was. I always fancied her, and we were doing karaoke and … a friend of ours said, ‘Listen, Amelia Warner’s at a house party up by Los Feliz and she’s single.’ I literally dropped the mic and was like, you know, ran for the hills.”
The actor told The Belfast Telegraph that he was “smitten from the start”.
Two years after they started dating, the actor popped the question and they went on to tie the knot in 2013.
The couple have three daughters together, whom Dornan said he would be lost without. Speaking of his family, the actor said: “I’m nothing but a pile of dust without this crew.”
