Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively hit the headlines recently when they shared a snap on Instagram of Ryan and their baby daughter. The couple were celebrating Father’s Day together and to mark the occasion, the Gossip Girl star shared a picture of Reynolds with the baby.

However, the snap received enormous backlash online due to the fact that social media users were unhappy with the way that Reynolds was carrying the baby. "A for effort. In all seriousness though, please never wear your baby like this!!! VERY UNSAFE. use a rolled up receiving blanket or an infant insert!" said one user. Speaking this week, the actor told US show Today: “The baby is not properly secured in the vessel that I’m wearing [in the picture]. “I’m a first-time dad and that is not the first mistake I’ve made and I can guarantee it won’t be the last. “I had never used that particular carrier before so every other time it’s been perfect,” he added.
