He’s waved goodbye to another Pretty Woman.
Hollywood leading man Richard Gere is back on the market after a split from his girlfriend of six months, Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.
Gere, 65, and Lakshmi, 44, had been quietly dating for six months.
TV presenter Padma confirmed the news in a recent interview, saying that she is single.
The pair met after Richard’s divorce from Carey Lowell was finalised in April. Gere and Lowell had been married for eleven years.
Gere was also previously married to supermodel Cindy Crawford.
Padma, herself a former model, was previously married to author Salman Rushdie from 2004 to 2007 and dated billionaire Teddy Forstmann until he died in 2011 at the age of 71.
Gere’s new film Time Out Of Mind, in which he plays homeless man who tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter, is out in the US this month.
