Actor JJ Murphy passed away on Friday, August 8th, just days after filming his first scenes in hit TV show Game of Thrones.
The Belfast man was 86 at the time of his death.
Murphy, whose screen credits include Mickybo and Me and Angela's Ashes, had recently begun filming for the role of Ser Denys Mallister, the oldest member of the Night's Watch.
He was due to shoot several further scenes before his untimely passing, and was said to be delighted to have landed the role.
The fifth season of Game of Thrones is currently being filmed, and producers are yet to confirm whether his part will be recast, or alterations will be made to scenes Murphy was scheduled to star in.
