Earlier this morning, rumours were rife that Shay Given had popped the question to his girlfriend Becky Gibson.
The PR and marketing executive showed off quite the sparkler at the premiere of Mrs Brown’s Boy D’Movie in Dublin last night sparking reports they were engaged.
The Donegal Daily claimed that the Irish goalkeeper got down on one knee during their recent trip to Los Angeles but now Becky has taken to Twitter to say that they have no plans to head down the aisle.
She wrote: “I can assure you all me and @No1shaygiven are NOT engaged…we are both very happy together but don’t believe everything you read”.
The couple got together last March after Shay and his wife of 12 years Jane, with whom he has two children, called time on their marriage.
