The Standard Hotel in New York City is investigating the leak of security footage which shows an altercation between Solange Knowles and Jay Z.
TMZ posted the video, which shows Solange hitting out at the rapper in front of Beyoncé in a lift at last week’s Met Gala, online yesterday evening.
In a statement, the establishment told The Associated Press that it is “shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system”.
It added: “We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity”.
Meanwhile, allegedly hours after the clip surfaced, Jay Z and Beyoncé seemed to be enjoying the game between the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat.
The couple didn’t appear to be affected by the publication of the video.
