Georgia Harrison has spoken for the first time about Stephen Bear’s upcoming release from prison
The reality star became a campaigner to change the law about revenge porn in the UK after Stephen was convicted of sharing a video of them having sex which he had secretly filmed on CCTV.
Last March, he was sentenced to 21 months in prison for uploading the video without Georgia’s prior knowledge or consent.
Now as his release date approaches, Georgia has expressed that she doesn’t have “concerns” about it but just wants to “move on”.
Speaking to The Sun the 29-year-old said: “So for me, I don’t really have much fear or any concerns about his release from prison.
“You know, his life journey now is his life journey, and that’s for him to figure out if he can rehabilitate himself.
“I have a restraining order on him, so I don’t feel that he’ll be saying anything about me that’s going to affect me,” she said.
“And for me, this is just the next stage of my life to move on to better and bigger things.”
Bear was convicted of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private, sexual photographs and films.
Alongside his 21-month jail sentence, Bear was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years and was slapped with a five-year restraining order banning him from contacting his ex.
Now Georgia is looking to take back the time she missed from dealing with such heavy issues, and is set to appear on ‘Love Island: All-Stars’.
Speaking about her new adventure, she said: “I really feel like I have lost a part of myself over the past couple of years.
“I am funny, I am silly, there are so many parts of my personality that aren’t getting shown because I am talking about a tough and negative subject.
“I am happy to do it because I want to be a voice for women but at the end of the day this is the last year of my 20s and I deserve after all this time to just go in there and have some fun, banter and really just be young and me again.”
