FKA twigs might be Robert Pattinson’s number one girl, but it seems like his loyal fanbase have yet to win over her affections.
The 27-year old singer has revealed that she has had difficulty dealing with Pattinson’s loyal legion of fans, telling the New York Times that she feels like she’s “masquerading as a pop star” as the public’s interest grows in their relationship.
The couple, who are reportedly engaged, have been dating for eight months, but FKA Twigs – real name Tahliah Barnett – has struggled to adapt to her new heightened fame.
Speaking to the newspaper, she said:
“It’s really hard – I can’t begin to explain how awful it is.
“It makes you want to just stop everything sometimes. It makes you want to smash your face into the mirror.”
Robert Pattinson, who is notoriously private in his personal life, has attempted to keep his relationship with the musician under wraps.
People magazine reported last month that the couple are heading down the aisle, after the actor popped the question.
A source previously told the magazine:
“He wants to marry her. They are inseparable when they are together. They live at his house.”
