Demi Moore has said she is in “absolute shock” after a man died at her home in LA over the weekend.
The 21-year-old man is understood to have drowned in the pool at the property during a social gathering that was held by Moore’s assistant on Saturday night.
Neither Demi or her daughters were at home at the time and the Ghost star has now responded to the tragic incident by extending her sympathies to the man’s family.
“I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country travelling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news,” she said.
“The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.”
It is being reported that there were five people at the house when the incident took place, with the man believed to have fallen into the pool overnight.
