Demi Lovato has responded to critics of her Cosmopolitan cover, who slammed the star for appearing too sexy on the magazine photoshoot.
The 22-year old, who is pictured wearing a silver sequinned mini-dress, faced a backlash from the National Centre on Sexual Exploitation, who started a protest named “Cosmo Harms Minors”.
The organisation called for issues of the magazine to be covered in stores so that children wouldn’t see sexual content.
Addressing the accusations, Lovato posted a response to the protest on her Instagram account, writing:
Demi has previously spoken out about her struggles with body image and self-esteem, revealing she has battled with substance abuse and an eating disorder in the past.
