Demi Lovato Hits Back At Critics Over ‘Sexualised’ Cosmopolitan Cover

Demi Lovato has responded to critics of her Cosmopolitan cover, who slammed the star for appearing too sexy on the magazine photoshoot. The 22-year old, who is pictured wearing a silver sequinned mini-dress, faced a backlash from the National Centre on Sexual Exploitation, who started a protest named “Cosmo Harms Minors”. The organisation called for issues of the magazine to be covered in stores so that children wouldn't see sexual content. Addressing the accusations, Lovato posted a response to the protest on her Instagram account, writing:

Demi has previously spoken out about her struggles with body image and self-esteem, revealing she has battled with substance abuse and an eating disorder in the past.
