Davina McCall has taken to Instagram to update fans on her recovery after undergoing brain surgery
Davina, who underwent surgery to remove a colloid cyst from her brain, is now at home recovering.
This rare condition, affecting only three-in-a-million people, was discovered during a routine health screening.
While the cyst wasn’t an immediate threat, Davina decided to have surgery to prevent any potential complications.
The TV presenter shared a video message on social media saying how grateful she is to be home and how much of a help her boyfriend and mum have been.
She also shared that in the aftermath of the operation, she has been struggling with her short term memory but that she is remaining positive and believes she can work through it.
In the video, taken by the star at home in bed, she said: “Hi, I just thought I’d check in! A heartfelt thank to everyone who has messaged me or been in touch. It’s meant the world. It’s been bad.
“It’s just really nice to be back home. I’m on the other side. My short term memory is a bit remiss. But that is something that I can work on so I’m really happy about that.
“I’m writing everything I’m doing to keep myself feeling safe.”
Davina went on to say: “I’m being brilliantly looked after by Michael and my mum. I have a massive dose of vitamin G. When something like this happens I feel so grateful Thanks all of you.
“I’m resting. I’m on the mend. I feel really good. I feel lucky.”
