Charlize Theron is furious with Kristen Stewart after photographs of her affair with director Rupert Sanders emerged this week.

Charlize starred in Snow White and the Huntsman along side Kristen and Sanders’ wife Liberty Ross and feels betrayed after evidence of the adultery hit the tabloids.

Pictures of the affair appeared in Us Weekly on Wednesday

The blonde played the evil queen in the remake of the classic story and Kristen took on the role of pure and innocent Snow White.

A source told RadarOnline that Charlize is furious with Kristen and her lover Rupert Sanders.

“Charlize had no idea what was going on between Rupert and Kristen and now feels completely betrayed by the whole incident.

“[She] is absolutely fuming with Kristen for having an affair with Rupert,” the source said.

Charlize is very close to Rupert Sanders’ wife Liberty Ross, with whom he has two children.

“She is very tight with Liberty, has often socialized with the family over dinner and cannot believe Kristen has done this,” the source explained.

“When they were filming Snow White and the Huntsman, Charlize felt like an older sister to Kristen, and they were always sharing advice.”

Both Kristen and Rupert have released statements apologising for the relationship, which was described as a “momentary indiscretion.”

The source said Charlize feels extremely awkward about the scandal.

“It’s certainly left Charlize between a rock and a hard place, because she feels great sympathy for Liberty and the kids and yet, she has a sisterly love for Kristen.”

Kristen’s boyfriend, Twilight star Robert Pattinson, moved out of the couple’s home yesterday after the actress released a public apology.
