Bob Hoskins has passed away at the age of 71 following a battle with pneumonia.
English actor Hoskins is best-known for has star turn in beloved 1988 classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but he has brought many other memorable roles to life on screen.
His breakout came with the release of The Long Good Friday in 1980. Six years later he claimed an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe award for his turn in Mona Lisa. His last on-screen role was in 2012, when he played Muir in Snow White and the Huntsman.
In August of the same year Hoskins announced his retirement from acting, due to his ongoing battle with Parkinsons.The star has four children from two marriages.
His agent Clair Dobbs confirmed the sad news earlier today.
