Boy band star James ‘Kenzie’ Mackenzie is recovering in hospital following a serious car accident over the weekend.
The singer, who used to be in Blazin’ Squad but is now in 5th Story, is expected to miss a number of upcoming gigs.
He was apparently on his way home from a club appearance in Epping on Sunday morning when the incident happened.
A statement, posted on his Twitter account last night, read: “Kenzie was involved in a serious car accident in the early hours of this morning, he’s recovering in hospital but will miss up & coming gigs”.
Kenzie stepped back into the spotlight when he joined Gareth Gates, Dane Bowers, Adam Rickitt and Kavana to form 5th Story on The Big Reunion. The boys are heading on tour later this year.
