The body of a man has been recovered in the search for Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann’s missing boyfriend, following a kayaking accident over the weekend.
Ian Jones went missing when the kayak he was sharing with Tali capsized outside Poughkeepsie, New York. He has been missing for two days.
Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann, the daughter of singer Annie Lennox, was picked up by a passing vessel but her musician boyfriend was pulled away in a strong current.
It is feared that the young musician may have drowned.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the body recovered this afternoon is that of Ian Jones.
Speaking about the incident, Captain John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has said that “alcohol may have played a role” in the incident as well as the strong currents in the water.
