Ariana Grande has shared some major career news
Ariana Grande is returning to the music industry and fans are overjoyed.
The singer confirmed her new single ‘yes, and?’ will be released on January 12th.
The Positions singer hasn’t released new music since 2020 so fans were overjoyed by the announcement.
One wrote, “You knew we needed 2024 to be filled with magic. Can’t wait!”
Another said, “She’s back! We are so ready.”
“Real pop music is finally back,” another wrote.
“I can’t believe she’s really back,” one said.
Grande has been focusing on her acting career during the last few years.
The actress was cast in the film version of the Broadway musical Wicked.
Grande has been busy filming since December 2022. She will star as Glinda in the highly anticipated film.
Grande will star alongside Cynthia Erivo in Wicked.
Following the casting announcement, the singer sent Cynthia a bouquet of flowers to congratulate her on the project.
“Dear Cynthia, honored doesn’t even begin to cover it. I cannot wait to hug you. See you in Oz,” she wrote in a note to her co-star.
Ariana and Cynthia will be joined by actors Ethan Slater and Jonathan Bailey in Wicked.
Michelle Yeoh has also been cast in the film adaptation of the Broadway classic.
The synopsis for Wicked reads, ‘In an alternate look at the land of Oz, the true heroine is wrongfully cast as the “wicked” witch and actually turns out to be a freedom fighter who battles against the wizard for her homeland.’
The film is set to be released in November 2024.
