Ant McPartlin was assaulted by a gang during a night out with his mum according to reports this morning.
The television presenter was at the Old Station House pub in London on Thrusday enjoying a meal when a group gathered outside the window and started filming him.
When he went outside to ask them to stop, one of the gang grabbed him in a headlock. His mum Christine then went out to help and was subsequently pushed to the ground.
An onlooker told The Sun newspaper: “The youths were banging on the window, filming them and generally being a pain – and they just wouldn’t let it lie.
“Ant was completely reasonable and said, ‘Leave it out, lads, I’m just having a quiet meal.’ But it immediately turned really nasty and one of them jumped on him and put him in a headlock.”
The police were called out to the scene but the gang had left by the time they arrived. Thankfully Ant was not injured and no further action was taken.
