Andie McDowell has revealed that although she loves the Cannes Film Festival, she has also skipped the event in the past when worrying about her body image.
The 57-year old was looking back on her time at the film festival when she admitted that she decided to skip the year her film won due to the pressure to look good.

Speaking to Fox News, the actress said:
“You know ‘Sex, Lies, and Videotape‘ won here and I didn’t come because I had just had my daughter, and I was nursing her and really round and I was afraid people would make fun of me.
“I know that was stupid. Now in hindsight, because I’ve matured and I’m older, I don’t really care what people say.”
The actress, who will star in this summer’s Magic Mike XXL added that she now takes her inspiration from women like Jane Fonda, who she worked alongside as a brand ambassador at this year’s event:
“That was a blast and she’s gorgeous and an inspiration. She’s 77. She looks amazing. So I’m happy, I’m thankful, I’m always living gratitude.”
