Alicia Silverstone, everyone’s favourite Clueless star, has arrived in Ireland to begin filming her latest project, a mystery drama called Irish Blood.
The series, which will air on AMC Networks’ international streaming platform Acorn TV, promises a gripping tale of family secrets and personal discovery.
Irish Blood centres around Fiona Sharpe, a high-powered Los Angeles divorce attorney, played by Silverstone.
Fiona’s life is thrown into chaos when she receives a letter from her estranged father, Declan, who disappeared years ago.
Determined to uncover the truth, Fiona embarks on a trip to Ireland, where she unravels the mystery of his disappearance and learns shocking truths about the family she never knew.
Silverstone not only stars in the series but is also taking on the role of an executive producer, adding to her long list of accomplishments in the entertainment industry.
She is working alongside a talented group of Irish actors, including Jason O’Mara, Dearbhla Molloy, Simone Kirby, and Ruth Codd.
The six-part murder mystery follows Fiona’s emotional journey, after her father abandoned her and her mother on her 10th birthday.
Fiona, having built a successful career fuelled by anger and resentment toward her father, is forced to confront a painful past.
However, as she digs deeper, she discovers that the story of her father’s abandonment – a narrative that has shaped her life – was not as it seemed.
Production has officially kicked off in Dublin and surrounding regions of Ireland and Silverstone is sharing her experiences of working abroad on social media.
