Actress Laughs Off Baby Name Criticism

Busy Philipps is fast becoming one of our favourite celebrities because she just seems to be able to have a laugh at everything, including herself.

First the actress poked fun at the fact that her pregnancy felt like it went on forever and now she has made a joke out of people criticising the name she has chosen for her newborn daughter.

 

Busy tweeted this snap after she gave birth last week.

An insider revealed to E! News this week that the Cougar Town star had named her one-week-old daughter Cricket Pearl. (Yes it’s a tad unusual but we actually don’t think it’s as bad as say a direction on a compass.)

Anyway Busy, who also has a four-year-old called Birdie with hubby Marc Silverstein, has received a bit of backlash for the choice.

She tweeted this morning: “It’s weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names. Guys, my kids will be therapy for LOTS of reasons, I’m sure.”

As well as teaching the whole of Hollywood how to effectively deal with criticism through humour (take note Kimye), Busy also took the opportunity to thank her fans for their messages of support.

She wrote: “Thank you all for the warm wishes for our new little ladybug! It’s been so sweet to read them all!!”
