Actress Katharine McPhee has filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Nick Cokas.
The Smash star, who is also had roles in Shark Night 3D and The House Bunny, decided to make it official after a year-long separation.
A representative told People magazine: “After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas.
“The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time”.
The news comes only a matter of months after Katharine was spotted kissing her Smash director Michael Morris, who is married to actress Mary McCormack.
