Actor Eli Wallach passed away on Tuesday at the age of 98, the New York Times has reported.
Wallach, who was married to actress Anne Jackson, began his film career in the late 1950s after an impressive stint on the stage.
He starred in a number of successful movies over the years including The Magnificent Seven, The Misfits, The Holiday and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Wallach, who was known as the “quintessential chameleon”, received an honorary Oscar for his work back in 2010.
He and Anne had three children together: Peter David, Roberta and Katherine (the latter of which is said to have confirmed the news of his death).
