The Next iPhone Is Set To Get Rid Of The Headphones Socket

Apple plan to make the iPhone7 slimmer than ever – by removing the normal headphone socket from the next phone design. The new move will mean iPhone users who upgrade, will have to splash some extra cash if they lose their new headphones or use an adapter for their current set. According to Japanese tech blog MacOtakara, the iPhone7 would use Apple’s lightning port as a headphone jack, as well as the primary source for charging the phone and data transferring. If the rumours are true, the move would see the latest iPhone trimming down 1mm in size, to just 6.1mm.
