The specs are AMAZING considering how cheap it is

An Indian electronics company has made smartphone technology even more accessible with the invention of the Freedom 251, a smartphone that costs the same as a cup of coffee.

The phone is manufactured by Ringing Bells launched today and will bring ‘a revolution to the industry.’

The phone has a 4-inch screen, 8GB of internal memory that you can expand up to 32GB, and the camera is 3.2 megapixels which is impressive considering it’s ridiculously low price.

The Independent report that the phone owners will have access to every App on the Google Play Store, and speculate that the Indian government may be subsidising the company in order to be able to sell the handset at such a low price.

According to the website, the phone comes with a one-year warranty and special pre-installed farming and fishing apps to appeal to the target market.

The BBC report that the company’s website has crashed due to the demand for the cheap handset, apparently received 600,000 hits per second.
