Facebook Set To Force Users Into Downloading Another App To Share Their Photos

If the extra app for Facebook Messenger drives you insane – you’re not about to like the latest news. According to i100, the social network giant is planning to introduce another mobile app to allow users to share photos, and to sync your phone’s camera to your Facebook profile. You might have noticed the ‘Moments’ banner in your Facebook profile’s news feed – but now you’ll be forced to download the external app to keep the photos you have on the network viewable online. For those who download Moments, all your photos currently synced to Facebook will remain on the site, while those who opt out of the app extension will be able to access their snaps – but only be downloading them as a zip file. Time is ticking away too… you’ll only have until January 10^th before photo-synching ends on Facebook. While Facebook’s previous app offering Messenger has remained at the top of the App Store, some of their other moves have failed to make an impact. Facebook’s ‘Slingshot’ – a Snapchat competitor – was axed shortly after its launch after low adoption.
