Add us as a preferred source on Google »Audrey Niffenegger has been working on a sequel to one of the most heartbreaking books of all time, and it's finally being published this year.
That's right, we're finally getting a sequel to The Time Traveler's Wife.
The long-awaited sequel to the multi-million-copy bestseller The Time Traveler’s Wife, Life Out Of Order, will be published on October 27th.
Alba De Tamble is a time traveler, slipping unpredictably through decades like her father before her. But the hardest thing she carries isn’t the burden of futures she can’t understand, or pasts she cannot change – it’s a secret: she is in love with two different people.
Each of them offers a different life. Zach lives in the present and can’t follow her when she disappears. Oliver can travel through time, just like she can.
As Alba careens from time to time, moving from the riot-torn Chicago streets of her present to the eerie, timeless Yellow House, and into the digital corridors of the Museum of Lost Souls and a flooded future London, she must face a question she can no longer avoid: how is it possible to love and live a meaningful life in an increasingly troubled, fractured world?
Audrey Niffenegger has been working on this novel for 13 years, so it's safe to say we've got very high hopes.
There's no doubt it'll be an incredible and heartbreaking read. There's nothing quite like revisiting a story that completely captured your heart the first time you read it.
Fans of The Time Traveler's Wife will be overjoyed to hear that a sequel is on the way, and we don't have too long to wait now.
We're already counting down the days to publication day.
You can pre-order Life Out Of Order here.
