River Island has a €40 dupe for €1,300 Gucci bag in time for party season

River Island is making our designer dreams come true on a budget.

While it would be lovely to own it most people don't want to have to remortgage the house for something that will carry our phone and keys - especially coming up to Christmas.

Luckily River Island has come out with their own dupe and guess what? It's just €40 so much easier to label as a 'wee treat' when the urge to shop hits.

It looks super chic and more expensive than it really is but shhh no one needs to know that!

The main pocket can be fastened using a zip and the inner lining is made from 100 per cent recycled material. 

With its canvas and leather trims, it also shares a similar design to Gucci's Monogram-pattern brand-plaque canvas cross-body bag which goes for €1,250 in Selfridges.

The bag is perfect for any occasion, whether it be your upcoming work Christmas party or a romantic dinner date with your other half, you'll get your money's worth out of it.

It comes in four different colours - beige, black, pink and grey - so basically one to go with any outfit you can think of.

When you compare that to the Gucci bag, you could justify buying one in each shade, just do a little bit of girl math.

You could even pair it with the €20 Faux Leather High Waisted Treggings from Dunnes, a great dupe for the Spanx equivalent.
