This Penneys Party is Like Nothing You Have Ever Seen Before

One of our greatest fashion exports has officially crossed the Atlantic, as our American friends are finally discovering Primark for the first time.

We've kitted out our wardrobes, bedrooms and living rooms in Penneys' finest more times than we can recall, but we can honestly say we've never had a Penneys Party quite like this one.

On Wednesday night, September 2^nd, Primark threw an intimate dinner with Refinery 29 in New York to celebrate the fashion giant’s arrival in the US.

The event was hosted by none other than actress and model, Emily Ratajkowski.

Ratajkowski, who stars alongside Zac Effron in We are Your Friends, showed off the Primark fall collection on her own stunning figure and "welcomed an army of top American fashion influencers" for their first introduction brand.

At the event Emily said: "I used to shop at Primark when I lived in Dublin and have always been a big fan of the store. I loved buying the denims there. It’s really great that it's opening in the US and bringing European trends at such an affordable price."

Also in attendance on the night were model Ashley Smith, Andi Dorfman from ‘The Bachelorette’ and Danielle Bernstein, founder of top US blog WeWoreWhat.

Primark’s first U.S. store will open at Downtown Crossing in Boston on Thursday, September 10^th.
