This Dublin Store Wasn’t Exactly Impressed With The Comments Made By The CEO Of Abercrombie & Fitch

Mike Jeffries, the CEO of Ambercrombie and Fitch, caused outrage with his exclusionary remarks recently. Yesterday he issued a statement about the remarks he had made but did not offer any apology for his opinion.

This is what Mike Jeffries had to say about “larger people” shopping in his store:

“In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids. Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don’t belong [in our clothes], and they can’t belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely,” said Jeffries in an interview with Salon magazine in 2006.

One Dublin store, however, is sticking it to Jeffries by adopting a more positive spin on his controversial remarks.

Counter Propaganda on Dublin’s Liffey Street is a shop that’s proud of the fact that they stock sizes from an XS to an XXXL.  In fact, to highlight their non-discriminatory stance they’re selling all their XL to XXXL t-shirts and all their 36” to 40” pants at half price this weekend.

They’re also proudly displaying the above poster outside their stores and openly professing their love for people of all shapes and sizes. Legends.
