It's impossible to buy things for other people. The easiest option is just to get a few bits for yourself, then promptly cut all ties with your friends, family and loved ones, to get out of the pressure of having to buy them something.
It's ten days to Christmas and I have bought three presents, all of which are for myself because I am materialistic scum. The main reason I'm having so much trouble is because things are EXPENSIVE. When I finally find something suitable for my Mam, it ends up being €75,000 and all I have on me is €74,995.
What we need, as a united society, is the ability to spot reasonably priced goods and prevent the utter disappointment of having our eyes caught by millionaire's toys.
