Bah Humbug.
In place of snow this festive season, it sounds like we can expect rain, wind and cold.
A spokesperson for Met Eireann confirmed:
“A potentially stormy spell of weather is likely later this week and over the Christmas weekend.”
“In particular, Friday looks like bringing stormy weather, with the north and west most at risk, but the details are still uncertain at this stage.”
“It will be a milder day with top temperatures of around 8 to 11 degrees.”
“Saturday will be cold and showery at first with good sunny spells but it will become cloudy with rain spreading eastwards later. The rain is likely to turn heavy before clearing to scattered showers on Sunday and staying windy.”
The weather warning will be in place from Thursday 22 December at 12:00 to Monday 26 December at 23:59.
