This morning, Dublin commuters helped lift a Luas carriage in order to free a schoolgirl who had been trapped between the pavement and the carriage. The incident occurred at the Jervis Luas stop about 9am.
The dramatic video below shows several commuters pushing the tram carriage in order to free the girl.
According to reports, the girl suffered minor injuries to her legs and was later removed to the Mater Hospital but this was purely a precautionary measure. The Luas have claimed it was a minor incident and normal services have resumed.
