RTE presenter Ryan Tubridy has apologised for making a remark about a Filipino slave warming his seat while live on air.
According to the Irish Independent, Ryan was presenting an outside broadcast at the Young Scientist Exhibition at the RDS when the incident occurred.
“It’s nice and warm in here today, we’ve got a heating system,” he said. “The seat was even warm – they sent in a young slave from, I think, the Philippines to warm it up for the past two hours.
“Thanks for that, much obliged.”
Tubridy apologised for the comment yesterday on air saying it was an “unconditional apology for a mistake.”
