The woman is remembered as “an amazing woman” whose “love for her three boys was endless”
Tributes have been flooding in for a woman who died suddenly on Mother’s Day.
Clodagh Foley passed away ‘suddenly but peacefully’ yesterday, Sunday March 30, at the Bon Secours Hospital in Cork.
The mother of three has been described as ‘warm, wonderful, engaging’
Clodagh, who is originally from Glounthaune County Cork, had been living in Ballyduff Upper, County Waterford for several years.
Along with her husband James, she worked as Managing Director of Coolydoody Farm, a dairy farm and sustainable, farmer-led processing facility.
Her death has shocked the local community, with friends, neighbours and acquaintances paying tribute to the mum-of-three, who they remember as ‘an absolute force of nature’.
One wrote: “So very sad to hear of Clodagh’s passing. Devastated for all Clodagh’s family and friends, especially her little boys whom she loved so much. She was an amazing woman. Rest easy Clodagh.”
“We are so so sad that Clodagh has passed away. What a lady. Great fun, genuinely kind and always smiling. Thinking of James, Walter, Joseph, Declan and all her family at this very sad time,” another said.
She is survived by her husband James, three children Walter, Joseph and Declan, parents Winnie and Jim Hickey, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Clodagh will be reposed at Aidan Walsh and Sons Funeral Home in Tallow on Tuesday evening, with her funeral man to be held in St Michael’s Church, Ballyduff Upper on Wednesday morning.
