The world’s best airlines have been named

It's a surprising list...

Unfortunately, Ryanair nor Aer Lingus made the list.

The world’s best airlines have been named in a list by Skytrax, a UK consultancy firm that reviews airlines and airport reviews.

The list, which was voted for by air travellers was topped by Dubai airline Emirates, who were presented with an award at the Skytrax World Airline Awards in Farnborough in the UK.

According to CNNthe survey was conducted based on the quality of service between the world’s top flight carriers.

Skytrax CEO, Edward Plaisted commented on the currently trending airlines.

“The Middle East airlines have continued to dominate,

“Virgin America continues dominating on the customer side in North America. Turkish Airlines is a big favorite.”

The list of winning airlines goes as follows..

1. Emirates
2. Qatar Airways
3. Singapore Airlines
4. Cathay Pacific
5. ANA All Nippon Airways
6. Etihad Airways
7. Turkish Airlines
8. EVA Air
9. Qantas Airways
10. Lufthansa

President of Emirates Airline, Sir Tim Clark spoke of his delight to the Airline Awards at winning the title of the world’s best airline.
