Temperatures have been close to freezing, we've had hail, and sleet. It hasn't been good, so it's fair enough to say we weren't really buzzing about the meteorological prospects for the May Bank Holiday weekend. Met Éireann has stated that today is starting off cold and bright, but more rain and hail showers are expected this afternoon (boo). It will be dry this evening, but very cold with temperatures from 1 to 3 degrees (which is outrageous, climate change is a thing and we should all be scared). There will be highs (if you can call them that), on Saturday of 12 degrees, but bands of rain are set to spread across the country on Sunday night. So maybe the planned barbecue can go ahead, but we can all wear anoraks. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail as they say. It's snowing in parts of Ireland this evening and people are outraged https://t.co/yHzdwqJ95H
