We can’t be dealing with this weather.
Us Irish are never happy, we’re like Goldilocks when it comes to the weather. This day was too cold, this one was too hot, we’re constantly striving for the one that’s just right.

August 16 was definitely a day to be outside with a book and picnic basket, basking in the monumental 20 degree heat.

Over here at Her HQ heat related fatigue reached an all time high. But that is probably nothing compared to the heat exhaustion (and general joy- it’s aint all negatives) felt by the top five hottest counties in Ireland.
These figures were released by BBC weather presenter Barra Best on Twitter and show that the five best places to get scorched on August 16 were;
Claremorris in Mayo
Shannon in Clare
Finner in Donegal
Castlederg in Tyrone
Magillgan in Derry
Hot spots today:
25 Claremorris, Mayo
25 Shannon, Clare
25 Finner, Donegal
24 Castlederg, Tyrone

We reckon there’ll be a few roasted heads strutting around those counties tomorrow! Thanks to the lads over at JOE for the showing us this story.
