South Africa has beaten England in the rugby world cup final

The final score was 12-32, to South Africa.

Today was the day people all over the world were waiting for. This morning, the English and South African rugby teams took to the pitch to battle it out to win the rugby world cup. After a gruelling 80 minutes, the South Africans were victorious, beating the English side by 32 points to 12. And so, Siya Kolisi lifted the William Webb Ellis trophy, becoming Springboks’ first-ever black captain. It was an emotional scene, if I do say so myself. South Africa beat out Japan and Wales to earn themselves a place in the final.

Likewise, England beat Ireland (you won't the next time lads) and New Zealand, to secure their spot in the all important match. Interestingly, despite South Africa's win, the English side are still number one in the world, according to the world rugby standings. South Africa is at number two, and is followed by New Zealand, Wales and Ireland respectively. It was, all in all, an exciting and entertaining tournament. See you all in France for 2023.
