Sex robots will be available to buy next year

The future seems to be moving at a far more accelerated pace than any of us could have predicted. The technological advances we’re making are incredible, but also sometimes quite frightening.

One such advance is the increase in interest around people having sex with AI (Artificial Intelligence) robots. Yes, you read that right. There is currently scientific research being undertaken on this subject, because the potential market for such robots is so large.

The robots are called RealDolls and are currently being manufactured by Abyss Creations in California.

The dolls reportedly have fully functioning genitalia and have been built with heaters and sensors so they can emulate a human body as much as possible.

Founder of the dolls Matt McMullen said

"I want to have people actually develop an emotional attachment to not only the robot but the actual character behind it – to develop some kind of love for this being."

 The dolls are set to cost €13,300 and be hyper-realistic, with future developments potentially promised as robots with wombs and being able to respond to voices.
