Several Irish Ferries crossings have been cancelled before Christmas

Irish people coming home for Christmas could be affected.

Six Irish Ferries crossings between Dublin and Holyhead have been cancelled this Friday, December 23, due to adverse weather conditions on the Irish Sea. The 08:45, 10:45 and 14:30 sailings from Dublin to Holyhead and the 11:50, 16:45 and 17:15 sailings from Holyhead to Dublin have all been cancelled, with Irish Ferries offering an apology for any inconvenience caused by this disruption. Passengers who had been due to take the cancelled crossings from Dublin to Holyhead on Friday have been advised that they can be accommodated on the 08:05 service in the morning or the 20:55 service later in the evening. Passengers travelling to Dublin from Holyhead, meanwhile, have been advised that that they can be accommodated on the 14:10 service on Friday afternoon or on the 02:40 service in the early hours of Christmas Eve.
